Great Lakes Equestrian Festival Caps off with the Grand Prix of Traverse City

“It’s really on an international scale putting Traverse City on the map. It’s a great thing to be a part of,” Director of Marketing Cody Brown, said.

Six weeks of fun, beautiful horses and competition, coming to an end with the Grand Prix of Traverse City at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival.

The annual festival capped off on Sunday with its biggest grand prix in festival history, with the winner taking home the lion’s share of a $100,000 prize.


Just shy of 40 riders and their horses, from eight different countries, took part in the festival’s main event.

The six weeks of competition leading up to this day bring thousands of riders and spectators and has made this destination a must for equestrians.
